TEACHING PHYSICS |

My belief about teaching guides the design of my courses. That belief is that students learn best—and in the most enduring fashion—when the material is presented in an inquiry-based, constructivist manner that elicits prior beliefs, actively guides students in the correction of any misconceptions and works to apply the material to future learning or career interests. |

I love to teach physics! My area of research is physics education, so my research is fundamental to all of my work at Rockhurst University: college coursework and projects, grant work, service learning work, physics teacher institutes, and advancement of new curriculum. |
